Harvest is done and the equipment is clean, repaired and put away resting, awaiting the next harvest. Fall went by almost with out much notice, except for the hurricane for which I have to thank for all the down trees that need to be cut up. Plus side, I can use them for props and backgrounds.
The farm is a little over 1000 acres mixed with fields, pastures, woods, two ponds, old barns, and lets not forget the John Deere tractors. I know this place like the back of my hand. I use this location or locations within a 5 minute drive of it for most of my photography.
Having a photojournalist background I am very comfortable photographing a wide array of subjects and locations. I work fast, giving a little bit of direction and feedback to subject durning the shoot. I feel a strong chill in the air and frost on the ground. Winter is very near. I'm so happy. Time to shoot. Now able to take any day off from work. Which means I have alot of time for FTCD/P work. Shooting FTCD/P work until late April or mid March.
